Axwell, Ingrosso, and Steve Angello appeared on the popular NBC staple show tonight (July 19) with collaborators Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake. To coincide with the release of “Lifetime,” Swedish House Mafia appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a debut performance of the song. Their return also boasts a label switch from Virgin/EMI to Republic Records, as well as new management. Combining elements of dance & electronic, underground, pop, hip-hop, house, and more, the latest stage in SHM’s musical journey may be unexpected, but we’re here for it. The new music is a sound of its own - and even a genre of its own. Familiar for their anthemic tunes such as “Don’t You Worry Child,” “Save The World,” “One,” “Antidote,” and “Miami 2 Ibiza,” among others, the guys have opted for a different feel for their new era. “Lifetime,” which is the newest anthem from SHM, comes only days after the guys released their deep and dark “ It Gets Better.” The songs are both quite different from each other, and also different than what fans might expect from the Swedish trio. “Lifetime” is out today (Monday, July 19) on Republic Records.
